"the apartment is a truly fantastic place, the view that the first floor apartment offers is beyond words. you can hear the sounds of the birds, the parrots, the seagulls and the waves that really make you forget all the negative thoughts that can surround us. The Hosts Enza and Riccardo are truly fantastic people, I would recommend this location to everyone. The city of Bari and the surrounding places such as Polignano, Giovinazzo, Alberobello, Martina Franca, Monopoli, and Ostuni are truly beautiful. The food in Bari is Apulian and fabulous, all very good with normal prices. I will return next year"

"I found everything a little bit chaotic. The train for the airport is leaving from platform 1A which doesn't actually exist. It's just another train in front of another on platform 1B. It doesn't make sense and it's quite confusing for tourists. I was waiting for a train on the platform and 2 minutes before the departure, someone told me they changed the platform and I had to run like crazy in order to catch my train. Some areas of the city are really dirty and smelly. If you a want to buy a ticket in the entire area (Bari, Lecce, Polignano a mare, Monopoli etc.), you have to go to the tabacchi. If not, you don't have the possibility to purchase directly a ticket and there's no machine in the station. I tried to buy tickets online by example for the train heading to the airport, but it's not possible. In fact, this chaos describes the entire country. Italy is my favorite country in the entire world, but they should do something about this chaos. I had a similar experience in Napoli where the station wasn't there anymore the next day.
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed my trip, the city, the views, the sea and the food. I will definitely return to Italy. "

"The accommodation la Rotonda da Sabrina B&B was extremely unhygienic and dirty. When we confronted the unhygienic situation via an employee (a personal exchange with the owner was not possible), she wanted to kick us out directly. Our room was entered even though we had expressly requested this in advance and in writing. We had to fetch breakfast from the fridge ourselves and also had opened items such as water bottles. We only stayed 1 of the 5 nights booked. An agreement regarding a refund, as we only stayed one night, was not possible with the owner - even when booking.com was called in. In addition, the pictures on booking.com do not correspond to the truth, especially at Breakfast."

"Gli autobus non passano spesso, interrompendo gli orari, non ci sono panchine alle fermate degli autobus per accovacciarsi al caldo in attesa di un'ora, il che è scomodo per gli anziani. L'autobus numero 33 dall'aeroporto di Bari Santo Spirito passa senza fermarsi, (si scopre che è stato necessario gettarsi sotto le ruote e agitare la mano) il nostro gruppo di turisti è rimasto senza trasferimento e ha dovuto prendere un costoso taxi Uber. Manca anche un sistema di taxi su strada. I turisti che arrivano per la prima volta hanno bisogno di nervi e tempo per affrontare il tuo sistema di trasporto. Anche una tassa elevata in un caffè a persona - da 1,50 euro a 3,50 euro (a Locorotondo) - se una famiglia di 4 persone, allora è molto costosa. Per il resto, tutto è abbastanza buono."

"Surprisingly pleasant historic town.
One remark: given the size of Bari, it is surprising that there is no Michelin star restaurant (the closest is in Trani). "

"Bari is a beautiful city because of it's great beach side and promenade area. Also the old city looks great, the traditional people , the restaurants and the night vibe. Althought at night looks a bit dirty and there are sometimes strange people on the streets "

"The only thing that would have have improved my time in Bari is if it had been easier to swim in the ocean. The rocks were hard to navigate. "

"It is sad to say that out of the many places we visited in Italy over the last month, Bari is one of the worst. It is very dirty, there is litter and graffiti everywhere, accommodation is very expensive, and there is nowhere to park. The best moment of our trip to Bari was when we were on the ferry leaving the place. There wasn't very many interesting things to see and do there compared with other major Italian cities either, and we would never return there."

"Hygiene should be increased, there is a rubbish on the streets. There should be police control in the local buses. There are maniacs and drug users inside the buses."

"Please improve the organization of buses to Alberobello. I mean the stop from where the buses depart should be better marked with signs and announcements about where tickets can be purchased. You could possibly install a ticket vending machine at the bus stop, since the café where tickets are sold does not always operate."
