"To be honest, I would recommend Bari as communication hub to flight there, rent a car and visit smaller towns of Apuglia and Basilicata.
I find Bari as a city as not so attractive with really polluted streets (it looks like people are throwing leftovers on the streets instead of into the thrash bins)."
