"The city is nice overall, the sea view is beautiful. However there is quite a lot of rubbish, and the seawater is dirty. There are not many attractions to visit. Hope they can improve the beach environment in the future"

"Bari is a great town to be based in for day trips. Excellent train service. Can visit beautiful places with the hour. Great coffee shops and restaurants "

"I have already been shouting to my friends about my Bari experience. The city is busy but I still found calm when I needed to. It’s ann dynamic and exciting feel about it. Shopping for all budgets, with excellent restaurants. My experience as a person of colour was disappointing in parts but didn’t ruin the trip- I experienced some of that elsewhere too. Historically rich with lots of interesting places- Matera. Trulli houses- magical.
Public transport is impressive- fast, timely with station very well signposted.
One serious criticism: the pavements are filthy. Not everyone cleans up after their dogs.

"A lovely city which felt safe and had fantastic food at everywhere we ate. We had a great host in Bari and were also able to visit towns in the surrounding area thanks to the train station.
I didn’t know what to expect from Bari, but I had a very pleasant stay and will remember the city fondly."

"Bari impressed us not only with its beauty, authentic atmosphere and charming streets, but above all with its people\. We met so many warm, friendly and welcoming locals who made us feel at home from the very first moment\.
A special mention goes to everyone working in the restaurants, cafés, shops and local businesses\. We were genuinely impressed by their kindness, patience and the friendly way they welcomed and served us\. Their hospitality feels sincere and natural — it is clearly part of the spirit of Bari\.
There is something truly special about this city: the warmth of its people, their smiles and their genuine way of connecting with others make you feel welcome even if you are just passing through\.
