"It is sad to say that out of the many places we visited in Italy over the last month, Bari is one of the worst. It is very dirty, there is litter and graffiti everywhere, accommodation is very expensive, and there is nowhere to park. The best moment of our trip to Bari was when we were on the ferry leaving the place. There wasn't very many interesting things to see and do there compared with other major Italian cities either, and we would never return there."

"Hygiene should be increased, there is a rubbish on the streets. There should be police control in the local buses. There are maniacs and drug users inside the buses."

"Please improve the organization of buses to Alberobello. I mean the stop from where the buses depart should be better marked with signs and announcements about where tickets can be purchased. You could possibly install a ticket vending machine at the bus stop, since the café where tickets are sold does not always operate."

"Cidade muito suja, não há cumprimento de regras, muito perigosa em termos de circulação pedestre, poucos museus abertos para visita, muita poluição sonora. No geral, uma desilução!"

"Très belle ville, très authentique !
Les services de transports sont très fréquents ( bus-trains), prix très abordables.
Les gens sont très agréables et aiment rendre service. Très facile de rejoindre ou l'aéroport ou l'embarcadère des croisières.
Cependant , les abords de la Vieille Ville sont très sales... beaucoup de papiers et des déchets dans les rues et sur les voies routières rapides (SS110, ...). J'ai été choquée par cette quantité de déchets."

""No swimming" signs all along the city shoreline, litter everywhere. Evidence of thieves to be judged by the huge police presence at the beach Pane e Pomodoro. This city is missing a huge opportunity to make use of its greatest asset, which is the sea."

"Bari is well worth visiting. The old city is compact and easy to get around. The cathedral and basilica are very impressive. Some nice restaurants in the area too. If you want to do some shopping you can find a good selection of shops in the new part of the city. The sea front is nice to walk and you can get a bus to the beach if you don’t want to walk that far. We did a rickshaw tour which was a good way to get a sense of the city and main sites. Some lovely old bakeries for focaccia. It was easy to get a taxi to the airport and the train service to other cities and towns is good. We travelled by train from Lecce to Bari. "

"La città di Bari è stata una gran bella sorpresa. Bari Vecchia è affascinante anche se credo lo fosse di più in passato. Mi auguro non venga inghiottita dal turismo. La città moderna è ricca di edifici interessanti riconducibili al primo Novecento. Ho potuto percorrere la zona tra Bari Vecchia, la stazione e il mare senza avvertire sensazioni di insicurezza particolari; attenti lo si deve stare sempre in qualsiasi città. Alla sera il fascino della città aumenta e le occasione per poter mangiare o passeggiare non mancano di certo."
