"This city has a beautiful side, but also a very crowded, not so clean one. I think the streets could be a lot cleaner outside of the historic part of the town, and the buses should be newer or should have newer technology (we couldn't tell which stop was the next one when we were riding the bus). The restaurants and smaller places offering sweets, pizza, piadena and so on were amazing, and the people were very helpful.
More information should be shown on the streets and near public transportation spots. It was hard to figure out how to get to Matera as we didn't want to take the train and we didn't prefer certain bus services. We could buy bus tickets for Miccolis at a completely random shop - I think these should be written somewhere close to the train station or the nearby bus station, as this is the relevant spot for this kind of thing. It was also a bit hard to figure out how to get to the airport from Bari. If you keep and open eye and react quickly, you won't miss your train or bus, but that's not an ideal situation when you're a tourist so this could improve in my opinion."
